I borrowed this setup from my concrete contractor, with the slide being so large they want to get it exactly flat. The way they do that, is they put grid stakes throughout the foundation, and then they use a laser to level off the exact top of the finished floor and they pin it down with the nail. So as they’re pouring concrete and raking it out they use this as a benchmark to keep it all exactly flat.
